Comment: They warned me that buying a house was a BIG DEAL. I heard the stories, I went into this whole thing with my eyes open, but nothing... NOTHING can prepare you for the wild ride that is buying a house. The mortgage process alone will give you a new batch of grays to say nothing of the search for houses, the neighborhoods, the very idea of escrow, inspections, appraisals, purchase agreements... it goes on and on and on... I say all this so you understand how important our relationship with Chris was during this process. We were working with a variety of experts with various inputs to the process, and it would be easy to simply hire experts, listen, do what they say, and youre done. Thats not what home buying is like: the experts you hire will often disagree and give advice thats contrary to one another, or even one expert will tell you one thing one day, and something different the next week. Given the complexity of home buying, this is not shocking; people are people, and they have bad days. But it often left us feeling adrift in our own home buying process, and it was always Chris who managed to ground us, explain things, offer guidance, reconcile conflicting information, and at times, just be a cheerleader and give us a cookie when things were looking dire. We simply couldnt have done it without her shepherding things through the process, which began with her giving us a realistic sense of just how ready we were, and that she would lay down the hammer if she saw us making mistakes (yet in a gentle way...). Her advice was the only advice we could take to the bank, literally, and I cannot recommend her and her team enough for your own personal real estate journey. Take vitamins, wear a helmet, and put Chris in your phones short list, and youll be fine.

Imagine and then the situation became even more complicated by the arrival of COVID-19. Even in the midst of a real estate shut down, Steve was creative and showed the house to perspective buyers and yes ! Sold my house in spite of the State being shutdown.
