Comment: Where do I begin? My husband and I had been discussing for a few years of moving from Florida to CNY as he has family here. Last spring while he was up we reached out to Marty Bell to show us a couple of homes (they took me along as well via Facetime). We then put our home on the market in July and we both came up to look at some homes. Marty showed us about 15 homes (these were from my lists via Zillow) and he truly guided us and answered all of our questions and concerns.Once our home sold in Florida and we relocated here our search began in earnest - Marty showed us so many beautiful and we found homes that we absolutely loved! We did encounter a couple of speedbumps - as we put in offers for 3 homes, 2 of which had issues with the home inspections that were costlier repairs than what we were willing to invest in and one home that the seller countered with $5,000.00 over the listed price.At this point, I was feeling a bit defeated and didnt think that we would find what we wanted and where we wanted. Through it all, Marty never wavered!! By this time, he had a solid understanding of what we were looking for and he sent us a couple of listings - once again - he hit it out of the park and we had a tough decision to make between the 2 homes.Needless to say - I am overjoyed with the home that we have purchased and I cant imagine working with any other agent than Marty!! I was less than pleased with the agent that sold our home in Florida and Martys helpfulness in walking us through the entire process made a very stressful move quite a bit easier.All I can say is that Marty exemplifies customer service, he truly cares about his clients, he is honest and upfront and absolutely does not give up, whether its between a funky lockbox to finding the perfect home for his clients. No sooner would I tell him I was interested did he set up a showing, often within hours. Ed goes above and beyond, he is personable, timely in his response, always very thorough in his responses to questions or concerns I had and when I needed a recommendation for closing lawyers, etc he always had names/numbers ready to go. Ed took time to get to know me and what I wanted in a home, often texting me homes he thought might be a good fit. I have since recommended Ed to multiple friends. This review is LONG overdue, and I should have written one when he helped us move into our first home 3 years ago! Marty moved us into our first home, and then three years later, helped us sell it on short notice.He encouraged us to put it on the market at the prime time, which was absolutely critical in helping us making the sale in the short window of time that we had. Because of his knowledge and expertise, we were able to make a life-changing move out of state, with the confidence that he was with us every single step of the way.We ended up moving to AZ before our house officially closed (due to the fact that the home inspection found a mess of problems that we were previously unaware of), and the long-distance made things difficult for us to communicate with the different companies doing work on the house. Without Marty, we would not have been able to close the deal after having moved out of state.I always joked with him that he might as well be a doctor, since he was literally always on call for us. 😅 It didn’t matter the time of day or day of the week, Marty was there. His reliability and promptness to respond gave me continued comfort and encouragement throughout the grueling and tedious process of selling a home, especially after mold had been uncovered in the basement (every seller’s worst nightmare).Many of the things that were found in the home inspection made the sale more difficult than we had anticipated. Marty took it upon himself to be the point of contact between our attorneys, the buyer’s realtor, the mold remediation company, the company who installed the radon mitigation system, the roofing contractor, and the electrician. He never ceased to impress me with his ability to relentlessly stay on top of things and keep the process moving forward for my peace of mind. He handled the natural stress and anxiety that arose with the mold discovery with the most unbelievable poise and grace, always pressing on with his proposed solution to the problem. He simply did not miss a beat.Not only was Marty professional in all of our interactions over the years, he was down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and has now become a dear friend of the family. His good sense of humor and resilience to all problems delaying the sale kept me going!I am sad to say I never got the chance to take Marty out for a drink to celebrate the sale of the home, which was the fruit of his persistent labor and efforts. Assist2Sell simply would not be the same without Marty. He is an integral cog in the wheel that is real estate. If you have the opportunity to work with him, it would be foolish not to jump on the chance.I am sad that he can’t follow me to Arizona to help me buy my first home, once I move out of my apartment.
