She is always ready to move at your pace and keeps your interests in mind. We were surprised at how fast she could move the process if you asked and when we were feeling discouraged, she offered support and to take a break. Carolyn was open and honest with us and had solid recommendations even after the home was purchased. Carolyn is a high value contributor to the community she serves and we would recommend her to friends and family.As we were first-time home buyers, we signed up for a home buying 101 class. Caroyln willingly offers home buyer education as a part of her services and it was actually more comprehensive than the class. We were interested in buying multi-family property that might need some work, but was live-in ready at purchase time. After seeing several residences and Carolyn pointed out potential and blatant issues, we widened our scope (completely our decision) to single-family houses and found one that fit our needs and budget. It wasnt an easy purchase, there were several items that needed remediation before we could close and Carolyn helped stay on top of everything and coordinate the fixes, forwarding estimates and repair receipts.Home buying is stressful, requires up-to-date information on the market and historical trends and property information. There werent many homes on the market in my preferred area, and good homes were all sold very fast, I remember there were multiple times when I saw a home and made an offer but wasnt able to get the home due to strong competition from other buyers. Because of this I had to keep seeing more properties, but Carolyn was always patient, and she accompanied me seeing properties time and time again. When showing me the properties, Carolyn was very professional and knowledgeable, she pointed out potential problems and recommended strategies in making an offer, which was very helpful in the situation when multiple buyers competing for the same home. Comment: If you are considering buying or selling a home, I will hopefully make your job of selecting a real estate agent easier, by telling you to just go ahead and use Carolyn Luke. Carolyn recently helped my wife and I to sell our home in Schenectady, and purchase a new one in Glenville. Both transactions hit snags and roadblocks along the way. Our first buyer lost their financing, and the house we were going to buy pulled out of the deal at the last minute. In all cases Carolyn was right on top of things advocating for our best interests. In the end, we ended up getting a much better price on our house then we originally expected and got a steal on a beautiful new home. Carolyn is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. I relied a lot on her eye for detail in the houses I looked at. She pointed out things I never would have thought to consider or even ask about. If I had questions later she got back to me with answers quickly. She was patient and calm during a very busy time when many offers were being made on houses I was considering.
