We are all much too familiar with our calls not answered, service providers who do not even show up at our homes after agreeing to and so on.I take the time today to share my experience with Mr. Martin (Marty) Horten, an agent at Coldwell Banker SEXTON Real Estate. Martys professionalism, knowledge of the community, competence, reliability and personal engagement is unsurpassed in the community.I have been involved in the purchase and same of dozens of homes, in three states, including ten or more in the Mohawk Valley. I have dealt with fair, good, better and outstanding agents. Some agents seem better suited for a narrow slice of real estate deals, such as very expensive homes or fixer-uppers. I think Martin could successfully help someone buy or sell any home.Marty sold a home for me in Utica, without our ever meeting face-to-face, while the house was vacant, over the course of winter. Mart managed small (snow needed to be removed) and major (needing to get all the plumbing replaced - which he got done in six days!) obstacles and actual crises with patience and calm. He returns EVERY phone call, text message or email.If you are a buyer or seller, especially if you are from outside the Mohawi Valley, you will not do better or be happier than trusting Mart Horten with your real estate needs.Finally, such constent excellence cannot happen in a vacuum. I was referred to Joe McHarris at Coldwell Banker by a friend and he made the home buying experience so easy and smooth! I had no idea what I was doing or even how to go about buying a house but Joe was there every step of the way and showed me more houses than I’d have expected to look at and I am so happy he did. Joe did not let me buy just any house he made sure that I was going to buy the house that was perfect for me and my future and he succeeded. It’s been 3 years and I still absolutely love my house. Joe was very caring, patient and extremely helpful in both finding the perfect house and assisting me with finding a financial institution and being with me every step of the way until I closed.
