Let me just say that our situation was not an easy one: relocating to NYC for the first time - clueless, essentially unavailable during normal business hours, AND on a strict timeline. Anthony had zero issues taking on these and the many additional challenges we threw his way.Anthony has polished experience dealing with clients in similar situations. He has extensive knowledge of the current market and area, and he kept us informed of all activity – which included him jumping on a brand new listing and asking if we could meet him in 15mins (after 5 o’clock) to view a property! Comment: I found my first apartment when I moved to NYC with Compass, this was in its early stages as a company. I found that the model works well (to have area specialists) and you really feel like your broker represents you. So naturally when looking to move, I went back to Compass. I just found that the inventory was a lot better (vetted out) and brokers didnt waste your time trying to show you things they knew didnt work for you. Kelly Waters and her team were amazing in helping me with the second apartment. As always, you still do have to stick up for yourself and help the negotiation process along (always hard to balance negotiating vs. trusting your broker when they say its something that can jeopardize the deal).

He answers emails and texts almost instantly. He helps you through the arduous mortgage process. I really feel he is my advocate. The bottom line, of course, is getting the right price, whether youre selling or buying (I did both), and I couldnt be happier with the results. In less than 30 days, I accepted an offer that was 15% above my asking price. The Urban Compass site is slick, the social marketing is smart, but at the end of the day, its about the people who work there. Steve and Kaitlin are a winning team.

The website is so organized, allowing you to compare specific neighborhoods and learn about characteristics that define them (food, bars, entertainment etc...) and some of the things that may not make it a great fit for you.I was also really impressed with the features Urban Compass provides (all for free!!!), showing you maps and closest subways among other things. So I had a choice to really learn about the neighborhoods before choosing a place to stay. Once thats done, Urban Compass allocates a real person as your personal guide and the cost is a fraction of the cost most brokers charge. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The search tool and appointment system worked very well and we were happy with the inventory of listings. More importantly, our neighborhood specialist added a level of insight that we havent gotten in other rental searches and really had our best interest in mind through the whole process. On top of all that, we ended up saving significantly on our fee.I highly recommend UC. Great combination of inventory, efficient website/booking and personal service you can trust.
