Comment: Rahwa was a GODSEND!!! Ive been looking at apartments for a few months and found one that she was showing. I loved it but was hesitant to move forward because I would need to break my current lease in order to make it happen. Rahwa went ABOVE and BEYOND to get me this apartment and offered to help me backfill my current place to get me out the lease. Not even 12 hours later after suggesting help, she had 3 people ready to show my apartment, which was soon thereafter rented! Without her, I probably would not have my dream apartment. She did not need to help me at all, but she did and I cant thank her enough. Very professional and communicated all the next steps in a very timely manner. Thank you Rahwa!!!

Comment: Thanks to Temer from Doorway we had a good experience finding our apartment!!! After an extensive and strenuous search for apartments, dealing with shady unresponsive agents, I came across a Doorway NYC post on FB. I was immediately connected with Temer from Doorway who helped us with everything from seeing the place to getting the keys all in a span of three/four days. Temer explained us everything in detail from good faith deposit to application process and we got receipts every step of the way. It was amazing finally interacting with someone who cared, was knowledgeable and when needed actually found out the correct information about the building and the landlord for us during this process. She promptly answered every question we had, never letting us feel that we had to compromise or rush into any payments. Talking to landlords can be very stressful as well especially when a lot of them are simply mean, Temer and Doorway handled the major part of it for us so we were not worried about it. Apartment hunting is hard but we were finally able to rely on an agent where it did not feel like a scam. I have recommended working with Temer and Doorway since we found our apartment and I cant thank her enough for being such a breeze to work with!! :)

He was extremely flexible working under a tight turnaround time. Along with being extremely knowledgeable when it came to the leasing process.Below are a few important notes about the leasing process with Doorway:1.We were asked to put down a $1,000 good faith deposit refundable if we didn’t get our desired apartment.2.Once our good faith deposit was sent the apartment was taken off of Street easy less than 2 hours after the fact.3. Danny did communicate to us that one other party also had sent in an application at the same time (seconds apart) & there was a possibility that we may not get the apartment . Which was fine, I appreciated the transparency.4. By that Sunday I had confirmation my application was accepted & was able to move in the following day!

Comment: My brother and I got connected with Doorway through StreetEasy - we specifically worked with Amadeo, who was incredibly helpful and basically made time at all hours of the day to work with us (and on a Saturday no less). We were worried we wouldnt find a nice place in NYC that would work for our price range, but Amadeo found us an incredible deal on a place in Bushwick - in-building washer/dryer, a dishwasher, furnished backyard/rooftop access, the whole kit and caboodle, all in a nice neighborhood. And thanks to him, we were the first to see it! After we put a deposit down, Doorway continued to help ease our way through the leasing process, and weve just signed a lease for that same place, starting in February. We were incredibly apprehensive going into this all, but Amadeo and Doorway made it seem easy. Would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone that asked.
