I actually found out about Insurent from my broker and while I most likely would have been able to secure an apartment without one, this was a nice backup and selling point to secure an apartment during the very busy and competitive summer season as students are planning to return to campus. Insurent was much more professional and accessible than the guarantor company The Gxxxxx (very impersonal when I called for information) and Rxxxxx (website was a bit too modern for this GenX-er to navigate). My initial app was quick, I wasContacted nearly immediately for my financials for a final underwriting decision which I greatly appreciated! Time is of the essence in NY teal estate and Insurent exceeded expectations! I like that insurent offers blanket approvals if needed up to a certain dollar amount. The application process and doc signing was seamless, easy and payment transfer took mere minutes. My rep even worked until nearly 10pm on a Friday to make sure my paperwork was set for my building and we could move forward. I’m just delighted that we choose this company to work with and they seem to be the preferred guarantor among NYC agents and brokers.

Comment: They are far from a scam! They are very upfront about fees and still way less than a brokers fee which is 15% mind you. There is no way I could have rented an apartment in NYC without them- I do not make 45x the rent, no one does. Pleasure working with them, highly recommend.

Comment: Insurent is HUGELY needed in NYC and really any city they are expanding to. Most people do not make 40 x the rent and have perfect credit. They have helped thousands of my renters- from people who have no US credit, are self-employed, are students, retired etc...Their fees are reasonable and without it, simply, my renters would not be able to get the apartments they want.
