Comment: Going into NYC and dealing with brokers for the first time, I was nervous and a little intimidated. During my first few interactions with a broker, they gave a lot of pushback when I expressed concerns, and would get annoyed when I mentioned price. I was pretty burnt out and was going to skip out on the last viewing of the day, but I’m glad I didn’t! Zach Zachariadis was showing an open house and even though we showed up a few minutes before it ended, he greeted us with enthusiasm! I was really excited about the place, and he could see that. Instead of puffing up the apartment, he was very real and told us BOTH the good and bad. Zach was friendly, timely, and calming throughout the whole process, even when some unforeseen hiccups happened on our end. Zach completely changed the way I would typically view brokers, and you are extremely lucky if you get the chance to work with him!

He was punctual, so polite and upfront (huge plus) about the apartment he showed us. It was only because of Zachs strategic intuition & unrelenting resourcefulness that we ended up with an incredibly ideal home situation, and one that we could comfortably afford. Zach over delivers: dollars on the penny every single time. Not only is he throughly appraised about the local markets he work in, he is also very sensitive to individual preferences - leveraging the former to serve the latter; Zach is one phenomenal partner to work with. Most importantly: for someone so incredibly accomplished - Zach is incredibly humble & self-effacing; never ceasing to consider how he may better serve the burden of another. Working in advertising, an occupational hazard is that I have an uncanny sense of when someone is selling something to me. Having never lived in New York, but knowing which area I wanted, I reached out to a few brokers to set up appointments. Heath shamed the rest of the bunch from the word GO!After listening to my (fairly specific) requirements, he put together a comprehensive two-day plan to cover all of Long Island City. As we pounded the pavement, he gave me a great outline of availability, geography--the real ins-and-outs of the area. It was the best crash course in the neighborhood I couldve asked for!By the end of the second day, I had put in an offer on a beautiful place. Because Heath made sure I knew exactly what to expect and what paperwork to bring, the experience was flawless. Two days later, we were approved. One month on, and weve made the Big Move from London to Long Island City and couldnt be happier in our new building.Dont expect a buttoned-up suit-type broker. His video walk-through online showed that it was a place I wanted to see in person, and he accommodated me by making himself available to show the apartment right away. Once I saw it and knew it was what I wanted, he was very helpful in letting me know exactly what had to happen next and exactly what paperwork was needed from me and my guarantor. With his help my application was approved quickly and I was able to sign the lease within a week of first seeing the apartment. Comment: Finding an apartment in NYC, even as someone who has grown up in the city, is no small feat. After looking for some time for a place without using a broker, my roommate and I realized that our options and chances would be greatly improved by using one. We were lucky enough to end up with an amazing broker!We must have gone to and contacted 8 or 10 different real estate places before I stumbled upon a listing by Zach Zachariadis. I was very impressed with the walking video tour of the apartment provided on the Modern Spaces site. Unlike every other listing I had seen thus far, it gave a very accurate representation of what the apartment looked and felt like. Prior to this, my roommate and I had wasted tons of time seeing apartments whose photos were seemingly intentionally misleading.Zach stuck with us until we found a great place. He was never pushy, and went out of his way to stay promptly available to us during our search. He went way, way above and beyond what Id expected from a broker, and we truly knew he was on our side from the get-go. We went through a rough time with one of the landlords, but Zach went to bat for us and found us a place that ended up being much better.I honestly believe you wont find a more friendly and hard-working broker than Zach. Give him a shot.
