After two frustrating attempts to purchase, Liz suggested we consider the benefits of a new build. We agreed since it seemed to be the best way to get the home we wanted.Unfortunately, we made a bad choice with our first builder who promised a custom home but then would not allow us to customize. Liz immediately stepped in and helped us navigate our way out of the contract acting as a liaison between us and the builder. She went above and beyond what we expected from our realtor. Then, Liz worked with us to find a wonderful new builder that was more than willing to customize our home exactly they way we wanted.As inexperienced first time buyers of a new build, we were in the dark about parts of the process. When things came up with our builder and lender (entirely due to our lack of knowledge of these processes), Liz again stepped in and helped us through the bumps in the road. Comment: I was lucky enough to work with Joanna Rockwood to sell one home and buy another. She was supportive and has a great knowledge of the real estate market. I bring a lot of anxiety to the table selling a house. Between the emotion of selling your home, combined with the sometimes unrealistic expectations of potential buyers, I find it to be an awful, stressful experience. Joanna and Shannon worked hard to keep me calm and sold my home quickly. Joanna really listens to you, and understands and supports what you are looking for. The office is also great to work with and the communication is excellent. Both closings happened the same day, and that never would have happened if she had not worked so hard behind the scenes. When you are looking to buy and/or sell, you want a partner who is working with you and for you. Comment: I am posting this review in rebuttal to the review left by Ms. Sawyer. I was the owner of the home that Ms. McCarthy put on the market and frankly shocked to see what Ms. Sawyer has written. The review is factually incorrect and inappropriate. Which is why I am writing to provide the facts.Immediately after the home went on the market we received multiple offers. We reviewed those offers and accepted an offer by somebody other than Ms. Sawyer. It is as simple as that.Ms. Sawyer simply did not get the home because we accepted a different offer. We are allowed to accept any offer we like. This is independent of Ms. McCarthy. The transaction happened quickly in terms of listing and going into pending.Ms. Sawyer was very upset she did not get the home and she took it out on Ms. McCarthy. But this has nothing to do with Ms. McCarthy, especially since they were at no time in business together. The business relationship was between Ms. McCarthy and I, and I can say with 100% confidence that Ms. McCarthy exceeded our expectations throughout every detail of the transaction and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell.
