Comment: In the past 10 years my Wife and I have had the privilege to meet and work with Jon & Chelsea as well as the entire Team at Templeton Real Estate. We recently completed our seventh transaction with Jon & Team representing us both as buyers & sellers. In each case Jon always made certain he not only got us the best deal possible he made sure we were entirely satisfied every step of the way. The Teams’s communication skills are remarkable, Jon & Chelsea never leave you wondering where your deal stands and when you ask for information you get answers immediately. Buying or selling a home or property is at times very stressful and I personally have a tendency to get a little fired up when things don’t go my way but Jon is always level headed and very calm, he helps you see the whole picture and make the best decision possible. Our purchases have both been for our personal homes (2) and investment properties (3), Jon listens to what you want to accomplish and makes certain you can maintain your goals as the deal develops. Jon is not afraid to walk away from a deal if it’s in your best interest while many realtors only have their bottom line in mind. I’m not sure how many more real estate deals my wife and I will make the rest of our lives but I promise you we would never consider calling anyone except Templeton Real Estate! Comment: I should start this by saying that we didn’t want to work with a Real Estate Agency and were planning on selling our home on our own, but Jon convinced me to work with them and I’m very glad we did. Templeton Real Estate did a phenomenal job of helping us sell our home. We had an offer within a few days of listing, which, after a little negotiation, turned out to be our buyers. From the beginning to the end of the process we felt like they were by our sides, always in our corner, very responsive to any questions and concerns we had. Both Jon and Chelsea gave us excellent guidance as far as staging for the best outcome, they walked us through all the paperwork, used their expertise to discern which potential offers would be the best to consider, supported us when we were frustrated, and attended our closing. Throughout it all, they brought a great sense of humor when we needed some levity and an ear when we needed it. Comment: When my brother decided to sell his place, I called three real-estate agents to come and give me their opinions on how his place compared to what else was on the market. Each agent came and took their notes and returned with their thoughts and the value for which they would recommend he sell his place. Jon Templeton was one of the three agents. When he returned, the valuation he gave my brothers place was considerably higher than the other two agents. Jon Templeton was convinced that his valuation was correct. His confidence, attention to detail, and sense of humor, along with handholding, paid off. Within eight days of listing the place, he had three offers and they were above the asking price. Within five weeks my brother closed. Jon’s wife and partner handled all of the paperwork, which involved patience and finesse with a co-owner of the property being sold. Templeton Realty didn’t receive a dime on that broken deal, but they kept smiling and helped us through it all. Finally we were able to close on another place and we couldn’t be happier. Comment: Jonathon helped me with both the purchase of a new home (new build) and the sale of my previous home. I interviewed 3 agents and Jon’s presentation won me over. If you are looking for someone who is calm, even-tempered, honest, and responsive, Jon is your guy. There were numerous issues that came up in both deals that were high-level, urgent issues and Jon helped to “steady the ship” with his calm demeanor. Additionally, Jon offered suggestions about what to change in my house to sell at top dollar and his suggestions were on-point. He helped with pricing my house correctly in a hot market, offered staging advice, and answered all of my questions. I am glad that I took his advice and I am pleased with the outcome. We sold a tiny house in the NEK that had tons of title issues — long story short, Jon found us a buyer within a week but the legal process dragged out 7 months. The entire time Jon was calm, reassuring, supportive, realistic, and helpful — and all for a property that was on the lower end of the price range for his company. Comment: We didnt know where to begin. We just knew we were moving to the area. The website attracted us first, but even then you never know. But we took a leap of faith and called. The response was swift, and we set up an appointment. Jon asked questions about what we wanted. He engaged deeply in style and personality, and he pointed us to properties he felt we would like. He was willing to fish around and take us fishing at first. We signed on to daily posts from Templeton regarding properties, which really helped. But Jon also had insider info: knowledge of areas and which properties seemed to be honest and some that seemed a bit excessive in their descriptions. Hed even say, I can show you that one, but I can tell you right now that youre not going to like it. The region is big, and he never flinched at going 45 miles to a site, though Im sure it was a burden. Were city folks moving to the country, but he helped us navigate newness and different categories of options we hadnt considered. He was able to discuss the market, possibilities of building, and advantages or disadvantages of any area. He was open minded and fun to be around. We gave him a hard time about wearing a suit and tie on hot days. When it came time for offers, he helped us navigate the battleground and was honest about our chances. We felt pushy at times, needing to text or call at strange hours, but Jon put on a brave face and engaged our conversations. (Hopefully we didnt abuse the privilege.) During our inspections and walk throughs, he helped us with the questions we needed to ask, and he showed us several ins and outs to cold living, given that we were moving from the tropics. When we finally closed on the house, he was super handy with recommendations regarding lawyers, painters, insurance salespeople, and so forth. And by the time we reached that point, we had confidence in his choices. No one has let us down yet. Its a really big deal to take such a leap of faith, but we sure were pleased we did.

Comment: Buying a house from out of State is much harder than buying locally, but Templeton Real Estate Group made this process much easier and helped us to find our dream home nestled in the woods, on the lake in Georgia, VT. Our realtor helped us to expand our horizons to other towns meeting our initial criteria through local knowledge and by the time we went to visit houses had a thoughtful map laid out with extra bits of info on which could be more heavily negotiated on price than others. They also really helped us get to closing in a tight timeline to meet our desired move-in date, which we probably could not have done on our own.
